As you know from our latest blog about the new Tatkal ticket booking rules 2025, the Indian Railways has made it mandatory for passengers to link their Aadhaar with their IRCTC account to book Tatkal tickets from 15th July 2025. Aadhaar is mandatory for IRCTC online bookings, PRS counters, and authorized agent bookings.

As only Aadhaar-linked IRCTC accounts can book Tatkal tickets, the authorized agents will be registered for the first 30 minutes of the Tatkal ticket booking window, which will help avoid bulk ticket booking.
